Part 5 · Evaluation and Baselining
The planning of the project is now almost complete. The tasks have been entered, and organized with regard to the project outline. The duration for each task has been entered, this was followed by the setting up of the dependencies including any lead or lag times. In addition the resources required to complete the project have been assigned together with any fixed costs. The resulting schedule is the basis of the project.
However before progressing the schedule needs to be checked to ensure that the project fulfils its goals and objectives in the three key ares of Time, Costs and Resource work.
Once your project meets your goals and objectives you must check for any errors or inconsistencies that may have been made during the planning process.
When you are happy with your plan and it has received approval, the plan must be baselined before it can be implemented.
